Cutting the textile for the right cut before sewing

The Marking Laser of a new generation which is to be presented by 4isp at the trade fair is able to cut the textile to the right cut within a few seconds and repeatedly according to the drawing specified. Unlike the classical cutting technologies, there are no problems with a blunt tool and related differences in the quality of the cut during the time. Thanks to elimination of the exchange or sharpening of cutting tools it is possible to markedly shorten servicing intervals or outages of the machine.

 

Laser use in the textile industry

Another very frequent use of lasers in the textile industry is based on the marking on textiles. Thanks to the heating of just the uppermost layer of the textile it is possible to use the laser technology for the burning of any picture on textiles or another organic material. The marking with a laser is very fast and can be used to almost all types of textiles. For most materials (including the wood) you yourself decide whether you want to have visible burn-off or not in the resulting graphics.

 

Do you know that CO2 laser is used to create the effect of washed-out and ironed jeans?

Besides the cutting of textiles and marking of images and ornaments it is possible to use the new type of lasers for other decoration purposes as well. For example, some firms use the marking CO2 laser to create an effect of washed-out and ironed jeans. This makes it possible to eliminate the chemical or mechanical process for creating the washing-out effect consisting of several stages. CO2 laser is able to create the same effect in a few tens of seconds, cleanly and in an environment-friendly way without using any additional substances or chemicals and fully free of any waste. The only sources which are necessary is a common power supply socket and skilled machine operators having the final quality and appearance of the product in their hands.

Exhibitors to Reveal Their First Runs at the Trade Fair


 

The jubilee edition of the REKLAMA POLYGRAF Trade Fair is quickly approaching, and leading world players who are represented in our market will not be missing at the PVA EXPO Prague Letňany Exhibition Centre in any case. Some of them even, already at least partially, start to reveal the news which they intend to present at the Exhibition Centre. What can one look forward to in the area of digital printing from such companies as Canon or Xerox?

 

New OCÉ COLORADO will have its first run in Letňany

Canon will present OCÉ COLORADO 1640 for the first time in the Czech Republic at all. The large-format roll-to-roll printer with a width of 64 inches uses the new printing technology known as UV gel. The Canon UV gel ink features immediate “adhesion” to the surface. The result is given by the controlled and highly precise placement of the print drop with its minimum enlargement. Thanks to minimisation of the ink dispersion into the surroundings, as well as limitation of its confluence on the medium it is possible to print out the required ink volume in each passage, which significantly accelerates the production process. The print outputs are thus characterised by a rich and intensive image also at high speeds. The outputs created with the help of the UV gel technology are immediately dry thanks to the independent state-of-the-art system of the low-temperature LED UV process. Océ Colorado 1640 is an ideal printer for production of materials intended for indoor as well as outdoor use, including folders, banners, outdoor signage, sales promotion materials, billboards, window graphics, labels and bespoke wallpapers.

 

Breakthrough technologies will be presented by Xerox

Also XEROX will present interesting news at the Prague Exhibition Centre and one of these innovations will have its first run there not only at a national level but also from the European point of view. It will be the breakthrough digital high-end print technology by Xerox. Apart from the actual technology, it will be possible to get familiar also with other of its possibilities useable in the area of refinement or final processing. The presentation will include also demonstrations of production of digitally printed packages, including finishing with the help of hot stamping and cutting out on the KAMA machine. Besides the above mentioned news, the Xerox company’s representatives will demonstrate also the well-proven machines of the Xerox Versant, Xerox C60/70 series and a software tool for automation of the FreeFlow Core pre-print preparation. And it will be possible to take part also in a discussion concerning new trends in the field of digital printing which include maximum simplification and effectiveness of the print production and at the same time an offer of other print benefits, especially in the field of finishing and refinement.

 

 

 



Digital Printing News for Polygraphy Presented at the Trade Fair


Many exhibitors presenting digital machines focus on customers from the polygraphy sector as well as on packaging specialists, and especially due to them it is possible to find large-format machines among the innovations presented. A trendy strategy in the field of digital printing is to offer an added value not only in the field of high-quality printing but also the subsequent finishing and refinement. In the case of modern digital printing it is possible to see also the possibilities of digital sleeking, structural varnishing or implementation of metallic effects.

 

DataLine and HP Indigo

The first digital printing machines of the B2 format were presented already at Drupa 2012 and enjoyed an enormous interest. The development of large-format digital machines has further continued since that time. The Dataline Technology company will present the unique printing machine “HP Indigo 12000” in the Czech Republic for the first time. One of large benefits of this technology is the possibility of implementation of jobs at larger volumes at a digital machine of the B2 format. Another advantage of the B2 format is naturally the printing of the jobs which cannot be suitably implemented on the A3+ machine in terms of formats. This may typically concern printed matters of the A4 format in a landscape form, book wrappers, folders with turnovers and other products. Another possibility is the printing of boxes which could be implemented on smaller machines in a very limited way only, and printing of bags which could not be implemented at all. The printing of posters is a matter-of-course.

 

Konica Minolta and added value of printing

Besides its current range of digital printing machines of the AccurioPress series, the well-known digital technology market player, Konica Minolta, will present at the Exhibition Centre also the application aimed at extended reality and known as KM Vision, Calso printing calculations or examples of the industrial use of inkjet printing heads “Konica Minolta”. Various possibilities of advanced refinement and finishing will not be missing either. From this product range the company will present there various possibilities of digital 3D finishing of prints by using the MGI JetVarnish technology, with applications of UV varnish and metallic foils. A benefit is easy and fast application of partial pressure. Basically it is sufficient to specify the places which need emphasising or application of the 3D effect and the JETVARNISH 3DS machine will apply partial pressure with the help of Konica Minolta inkjet heads. This means that the entire process takes place without any complicated preparation and thanks to the UV technology the output is immediately cured and prepared for further processing. Thanks to the fact that digital printing (unlike conventional prints) facilitates personalisation of prints without any additional cost increase, every printout may have its unique design.

Insight into the advertising world


The REKLAMA POLYGRAF Trade Fair is naturally connected with the advertising world. Besides advertising textiles and office supplies, also USB or flash disks belong among   popular useful office objects. Flash disks provide their users not only with practical benefits in the form of their use, but they refer to their donor also through the logo used. The print can be implemented in various ways, at present most frequently in a digital way, by way of pad printing (tampography) or screen process printing. And if you want a gift in the form of a flash disk to be still more expressive, it is possible to add another promotional accent through an untraditional shape.

 

IT gift fulfils an advertising function on a long-term basis

Customers’ demand is highly concentrated on cast foils, and although they represent a more expensive variant they can outweigh this “disadvantage” several times, especially at applying stickers to corporate vehicles, thanks to their properties. These foils are an optimum solution for really extreme situations in the exterior, and therefore they are appreciated on a long-term basis mainly by car rental companies focused on cars with stickers. Cast foils are very stable; they almost do not shrink at all. They are basically thinner and softer, and for this reason they are easier to process (cutting, peeling off and application). Cast foils are at the same time suitable also for irregular subbase, for example on rivets or textures.



POPAI to be present at the Exhibition Centre as well


POPAI is an international non-profit organisation, whose mission is marketing support in the point of sale and its representation in the form of POPAI Central Europe, which is a Central-European branch of the world association, and will be present, like usual, at the Exhibition Centre in Letňany too. POPAI CE organises the POPAI AWARDS competition for the best advertising means in the field of in-store communication. On the occasion of this event it is of course possible to present not only displays of the cardboard, but also of a number of other materials, often also in demanding material combinations. For example, 109 implementations in 20 competition categories were presented last year within the framework of the competition exposition of POPAI Awards. The absolute award was the Pallet presentation of Jägermeister from the Dago company, which is also a well-known manufacturer of displays and POS. This work was also awarded the creativity award, i.e. the prize for the best material and technical innovation and was appreciated in the category of alcoholic beverages.

 



What type of exhibitors can be expected by trade fair visitors this year?


It is mainly suppliers of digital machines that are to be plentifully represented within the framework of the two trade fairs at the Exhibition Centre in May. Besides the polygraph production, leading manufacturers active in the field of digital print focus their activities on producers of packages more and more often. Visitors coming to the REKLAMA POLYGRAF Trade Fair will be able to look forward again to expositions of the most important players on the Czech market – such companies as Xerox, Spandex, Dataline, Ricoh or Slovakia-based Nanotec will welcome their customers with their extensive expositions.

Moreover, such firms as Canon, HSW Signall, Comimpex, Papyrus, Bitcon, Tepede, Profisign, Electron, COMAC, OKI and other well-known companies will present their products and services in the polygraph section. Some firms have changed, in comparison to previous years, their places as well as exhibition areas which are to be markedly larger quite often. One of the largest expositions will be presented by Spandex, whose exhibition area with a size of 320 m2 reaches across the entire width of the Hall no. 4. New trends will be brought by some exhibitors directly from FESPA and these exhibitors will present them to visitors in Prague.

 

Large space will be dedicated to advertising textiles in the Hall no. 3, like in previous years, and among the exhibitors of this segment it will be possible to see expositions of Cotton Classics, Kapatex, Alex Fox, Falk&Ross, Adler or Sportica. Embroidering machines will be (already traditionally) presented at the trade fair at expositions of Nedbal Trading, Šicí technika Brother, Tama Bohemia or Stick. The visitors will find gravure, cutting or CNC machines e.g. at the stands of Uhal Trade, 4isp, HaWe systems or Pilart.

Various companies representing nomenclature of advertising and gift articles and companies from the sector of digital signage will be present at the trade fair this year as well, of course.

And last but not least, a lot of news will be shown by new firms from abroad.

 



Digital Print at the Exhibition Centre to Address Packaging Experts Too


The exhibitors dealing with production and supplies of digital printing equipment (especially printing plotters) have been represented at the REKLAMA POLYGRAF Trade Fair for a number of years, and the same will held for the edition of 2018 as well. Modern producers of digital machines try to develop technologies in such a manner that they can correspond to the widest possible range of materials, while providing excellent quality as a special bonus. And yet there is a significant development step which is surely to be registered by both exhibitors and visitors. Whilst until recently digital printing was focused mainly on the area of pure polygraphy, advertising or signmaking, at present the development is concentrated on packages. This means that machines of larger formats are offered for materials featuring higher basis weights so that they can be useable in the world of packaging as much as possible. Thanks to the developed automation it is possible to print many more orders at lower printing circulations already now. Not speaking about the possibilities of personalisation which belongs among main tools for addressing individual customers.

 

At the Exhibition Centre it will be possible to get familiar with products and services of DATALINE  TECHNOLOGY, a.s., representing a leading company in the field of digital print - HP Indigo, this year as well. It is just these machines that started to be used some time ago by our leading manufacturers of labels for their first personalised labels. At present it is possible to meet HP machines also in the field of production of personalised packages more and more often. Besides the high quality of the HP print it offers also top-quality application SW for preparation of personalised data. At present the HP Mosaic application seems to be an absolute hit. With the help of this function, the designer is able to generate from one graphic design virtually an infinite number of different variants. This application is used during the data preparation not only by smaller producers, but also by such giants as Coca Cola or Heineken.

 

XEROX to increase colour gamut application possibilities!

Another leading manufacturer of digital printers is also the XEROX company, whose flagship is Xerox iGen 5. A hot innovation placed in our market is for this machine at present an attractive white colour which completes the orange, blue and green complementary direct colours presented already earlier and the clear toner.

An advantage of the new toner is its whiteness and high density achieved during the printing process, and therefore printing of a single layer is sufficient for most printing applications. In the case of special effects it is possible to automatically print two layers or to add another layer on a manual basis if required. Xerox obtained the “MUST SEE ‘EMS” award for 2017 in the digital printing category for its white toner.

 



REKLAMA POLYGRAF to Celebrate a Quarter of a Century


The jubilee 25th edition of the International trade fair REKLAMA POLYGRAF, which is a unique platform for the sharing of news, will be held from 29 May to 31 May 2018. Modern and attractive expositions of Czech and foreign firms, manufacturers and suppliers from the field of advertising and communication will be offered by the PVA EXPO PRAGUE Exhibition Centre under one roof.

Simultaneously with the jubilee 25th edition of the REKLAMA POLYGRAF Trade Fair also the 2nd edition of the OBALY (PACKAGING) 2018 Trade Fair focused on packaging innovations will be held. The merger of both the trade fairs has proven to be a very successful concept. During the last year’s edition, the interconnection of the two trade fairs presented 294 firms, 59 of which being from foreign countries (namely from 11 states) within the framework of the two trade fair events held on the area of 11,500 m2. The organisers suppose, already now according to the number of indicators and feedbacks provided from the exhibitors as well as visitors, a similar rate of success at the PVA EXPO PRAGUE Letňany Exhibition Centre in 2018.

From its modest beginnings in the relatively compressed area of the Hibernian House (Dům u Hybernů) and the Industrial Palace at the Holešovice Exhibition Centre to the crisis period, the trade fair has grown and developed into the modern exhibition halls of the Prague Letňany Exhibition Centre.

Together with the change of place of its organisation, also the structure of the exhibitors has developed through the time. During the last years’ event it is possible to observe a drop in the field of gift objects – formerly large-volume orders of such a type as lighters, pencils, umbrellas or flash disks – feature a large drop while original and personalised gifts in smaller volumes are sought for. The sector is affected very much by fashion waves, which concerns in particular the area of VIP gifts. Like last year, the exhibition will offer a large number of presentations of various firms offering advertising textile materials where the primary role is played by the selection of materials and high resistance of textiles. Traditional exhibitors are always the firms offering printing activities and embroidery patterns or advertising chocolates.

The trade fair for advertising services will offer, like in previous years, large space for the meeting of personalities from the sector, but it will present also the latest trends, manufacturing procedures and modern solutions of the advertising communication.

Who will be this year’s exhibitors?


Like in previous years, the trade fair will be attended not only by a large number of Czech and Slovak firms, but also by many foreign exhibitors from Poland, Germany, Italy or Bulgaria whose number increases every year – there are already registered 36 firms from abroad.

 

 

And what will the composition of exhibitors at the 24th edition of the trade fair be like?  The visitors coming to the REKLAMA POLYGRAF Trade Fair can look forward to expositions of major players on the Czech market – large expositions will be offered to their customers by such companies as Xerox, Spandex or Slovakia-based Nanotec. Besides them, visitors will find, in the polygraph section, such firms as Canon, HP, HSW Signall, Comimpex, Ricoh, FujiFilm, Epson, DataLine Technology, Papyrus, Bitcon, Profisign, Electron, COMAC, OKI and other important companies to which they are accustomed.

Advertising textile articles will have more space in Hall no. 3, and among the exhibitors active in this segment it will be possible to see expositions of Cotton Classics, Kapatex, Alex Fox, Falk & Ross, Adoco, Hudy, Sportica, Andrea Design or Industrial Wear. Embroidering machines will be traditionally presented at the trade fair at expositions of Nedbal Trading, Šicí technika Brother or the newly registered Tama Bohemia or Stick. Visitors will be able to find laser etching, cutting or CNC machines at stands of Uhal Trade, 4isp, HaWe systems or Pilart. Also this year it is worth mentioning that the trade fair will be attended by various firms offering exhibitions systems and modules, such as Madness Advertising, Ultima Displays or DIS Media. Of course, also this year the trade fair will welcome various companies representing the nomenclature of advertising and gift objects, including e.g. Reda, Studio 55, Colop and companies representing the digital signage sector.

A comprehensive presentation of the latest trends in advertising communication and use of printing technologies will be held again in one place, in order to create a unique platform for the sharing of news. And the PVA EXPO is just the exhibition centre presenting the traditional REKLAMA POLYGRAF Trade Fair, which has acquired, for 23 years of its tradition, a very prestigious position of a leading event in its sector.

 

The exhibition presents business opportunities for potential exhibitors – they should, however, not hesitate too long, because already now the trade fair held on an area of almost 8,000 m2 registers a thirty-per-cent growth compared to the last year’s data and every day the last remaining free capacities are demanded. This year’s edition will focus on the area of packaging - the OBALY/PACKAGING Trade Fair will be held in a simultaneous event with the REKLAMA POLYGRAF Trade Fair.

REKLAMA POLYGRAF 2017 will be characterised with its comprehensive range and participation of exhibitors comparable to 2015. This time the presentations of the exhibitors will be situated in the Halls 3, 4 and Hall 6, with the premises of which the trade fair has been extended.

The meeting of marketing specialists attracted more than eight thousand people

 

New technologies, products and final applications from the sectors of advertising, media, printing industry and packaging materials were the main topics of this year’s trade fair REKLAMA POLYGRAF. Its 22nd edition was held in the middle of May in the multifunction PVA EXPO PRAGUE Exhibition Center. Altogether 230 exhibitors (32 of this number being from abroad) presented their products and services on the area of 11,200 m2. The three-day event intended for professionals whose part was formed also of the first edition of the FOR 3D Trade Fair was visited by 8,278 professionals, and 1,623 visitors were from abroad according to the statistical data. The first day of the trade fair was enriched with the EVENT DAY, an overview of event marketing.


The REKLAMA POLYGRAF Trade Fair was divided, like every year, into two parts. The technological - industrial part of the trade fair which includes production of advertising and actual printing activities was placed in the Hall no. 4. All leading companies from the sector were represented at the trade fair, such as XEROX, EPSON, RICOH or FUJIFILM. In the Hall no. 3 it was possible to see presentation of general advertising – especially advertising giftware and various giveaways, visual communication and products of POP/POS. This year’s event included also the first edition of the FOR 3D Trade Fair presenting the dynamically developing sector of 3D printing technologies.

The accompanying program was also very interesting and included specialized lectures, conferences and workshops. The results of the competitions “Calendar of the Year”, “Rainbow Ray” and “The Star of 3D Advertising” were announced there.

The TOP EXPO awards for the most impressive expositions of the trade fair were handed over within the framework of the social evening party for exhibitors. The diplomas were granted to XEROX CZECH REPUBLIC s.r.o., Spandex SyndiCUT, s.r.o., COLOP CZ s.r.o. and STI Česko s.r.o.

The accompanying program was also very interesting and included specialized lectures, conferences and workshops. The results of the competitions “Calendar of the Year”, “Rainbow Ray” and “The Star of 3D Advertising” were announced there.

The TOP EXPO awards for the most impressive expositions of the trade fair were handed over within the framework of the social evening party for exhibitors. The diplomas were granted to XEROX CZECH REPUBLIC s.r.o., Spandex SyndiCUT, s.r.o., COLOP CZ s.r.o. and STI Česko s.r.o.
